Recommendations
HOW DO WE APPLY?
- ▶ CHECK if the spraying installation is clean, without herbicide residues from previous applications, pay attention to the incompatibilities recommended by the manufacturers.
- ▶ FOR NEW PRODUCTS, ALWAYS, when using them in a mixture, do a miscibility, compatibility test, separately, in a bucket, and note the order of addition.
- ▶ BUBBLING goes on all the time the MET is supplied with water and during transport to the application site, the products have different densities, pH, conditions that reduce miscibility, and can settle in the pool resulting in clogging of the installation.
- ▶ For maximum efficiency, it is good that the applications are done separately because together with the application of liquid fertilizers, the action of plant protection products increases in the field.
- ▶ ADD the pesticides and liquid fertilizers after they have been homogenized in the original packaging when the MET basin is at least half full of water.
- ▶ AVOID the use of water sources from ponds or canals, as they have nozzle-clogging impurities, a very high pH and very high concentrations of elements harmful to plants, the effect of which is amplified by the use of PPP and liquid fertilizers.
- ▶ WASH the sprayer, basins, filters, ramp and nozzles each time at the end of each working day and each time the products to be applied are changed.
HOW MUCH WE APPLY:
- ▶ Always RESPECT the use recommendations of the manufacturer of liquid fertilizers and plant protection products and the recommendations of sales agents.
- ▶ THE VEGETATION STAGE of the crop to be treated and of the weeds to be controlled are in close correlation with the doses of the product to be used.
- ▶ APPLICATION outside the limits, the stages of vegetation, specified on the product label leads to low efficiency of the fight, even not at all.
- ▶ The DOSES recommended to be applied are established within the efficiency limit at the recommended time of application and care must be taken for incompatibilities.
- ▶ The maximum EFFICIENCY of herbicides is when they are applied alone, at most with liquid fertilizers that increase their effect, unless otherwise stated on the product label.
- ▶ THE QUANTITY of water used per hectare is proportional to the size of the plant mass of the crops, the more products we use, the more water we have that bathes the plants better, with maximum efficiency.
- ▶ BARBORING the spray solution leads to its homogenization and complete dissolution of liquid fertilizers and PPP for the best spreading.
WHAT WE APPLY:
- ▶ Always VERIFY that plant protection products (PPP) and liquid fertilizers used from the previous season have not frozen, not precipitated and are optimal for use. If you have suspicions, it is better not to apply them to the plants and hand them over to SCAPA.
- ▶ READ the package label in its entirety and strictly follow the manufacturer's recommendations for the use of PPP and liquid fertilizers.
- ▶ Repeated SPRAYING in the same season is done, for maximum efficiency, with PPPs that have a different active substance.
- ▶ DO NOT CONFUSE the dissolution of the products with the homogenization of the spray solution.
- ▶ Repeated APPLICATION in the season with PPPs that have the same active substance leads to very low efficiency of the treatments due to the reduced spectrum and the increase in the resistance of the pathogens to the fight
- ▶ The EFFICIENCY of PPP and liquid fertilizers is maximum when preventive intervention is carried out, before the manifestation of nutritional deficiencies, disease symptoms and insect attack.
WHEN WE APPLY:
- ▶ APPLICATION of liquid fertilizers and plant protection products is carried out for the highest efficiency under the following conditions:
- - Calm weather, no wind, stomata open, quick access to the plant, maximum effect,
- - Air temperatures between 8 and 26 degrees Celsius, intense plant growth, moist soil, plants without heat or water stress, active respiration,
- - The overcast sky and reduced insolation favor absorption through the leaves, maximum efficiency,
- - Increasing the rate of water per hectare to over 300 l/ha, when we apply at high temperatures and several products in a mixture, improves the degree of coverage, the system and the absorption in the plants, with the increase in plant mass, the volume of water must also be increased!
- ▶ DO NOT SPRAY on heat, strong insolation, dry air, wind, withered plants, during flowering in cereals
